Lyndon Baines Johnson, also known as LBJ, was born on August 27, 1908 at Stonewall, Texas. He was the first child of Sam Ealy Johnson, Jr., and Rebekah Baines Johnson, and had three sisters and a brother: Rebekah, Josefa, Sam Houston, and Lucia. Michael A. Geissinger grew up in Huntingdon, PA. After graduating from the Huntingdon Area High School in 1960, he enrolled at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in the School of Photography. At the time, RIT was one of the only schools on the east coast that had a department strictly dedicated to the field of photography.
